New Restaurants & Grand Openings
Across the Dayton Area.
By Jason White
Fresh for October 2026 across the greater Dayton area and suburbs: Dave's Hot Chicken opened its first Dayton-region location across from the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek, Crumbl Cookies opened on North Fairfield Road, Jet's Pizza landed on Springboro Pike in Miamisburg, and Troni Brothers Bella Bistro expanded into Xenia and Kettering. I also have the honest status of every restaurant project still on the tracker and the year's biggest retail grand openings, from Dillard's at the Mall at Fairfield Commons to L.L.Bean at The Greene.
This is the dining and opening news I have not covered before, all in one place. If you are weighing a move to Beavercreek, Centerville, Springboro, or anywhere in the metro, the restaurant scene is one of the clearest signals of a community on the rise.
Dave's Hot Chicken Is Now Open in Beavercreek
The big new opening is Dave's Hot Chicken at 2650 N. Fairfield Road in Beavercreek, directly across from the Mall at Fairfield Commons. It is the chain's first Dayton-region location, serving Nashville-style hot chicken tenders and sliders at a range of heat levels, from mild to the infamous Reaper. The company has been clear that more area locations are planned, and the Huber Heights site at the former Arby's on Merily Way is still on the way. For anyone who has watched the N. Fairfield Road corridor grow, this is another national chain choosing Beavercreek on purpose.
Crumbl Cookies: A New Spot on North Fairfield Road
A short drive down the same road, Crumbl Cookies opened at 2260 N. Fairfield Road, Suite G in Beavercreek. The brand is famous for its weekly rotating lineup of flavors, so there is always something new to try, and it has become a go-to for birthdays, office treats, and dessert after a night at The Greene. Between Dave's and Crumbl, the east side has two solid new reasons to make a trip out of it.
Jet's Pizza Lands on Springboro Pike
Jet's Pizza opened at 216 Springboro Pike in Miamisburg, right in the Dayton Mall corridor that serves Centerville and Springboro. Jet's is the Detroit-style square pizza chain, known for its crispy, caramelized cheese edge, and the location gives the southern part of the metro a fresh option between the mall, Austin Landing, and the Settlers Walk area. It is a meaningful add for the Springboro Pike corridor, which keeps stacking new dining choices.
Troni Brothers Bella Bistro Expands to Xenia and Kettering
The local Italian bistro brand continues to grow. Troni Brothers Bella Bistro now serves diners in downtown Xenia at 417 W. Second Street and on Wilmington Pike in Kettering at 4654 Wilmington Pike, expanding its South Dayton footprint alongside its Springboro presence. A local brand choosing to open in both Xenia and Kettering is exactly the kind of momentum that makes me bullish on those communities.
The Year's Biggest Grand Openings
A few retail grand openings have reshaped the shopping landscape this year. Dillard's opened in March at the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek, a roughly 160,000-square-foot anchor in the former Macy's space and the department store's first Dayton-area location. Over the summer, L.L.Bean opened its first Ohio store, about 10,600 square feet at The Greene, and it has been a destination since day one. And still in the works, Bubba's 33, a Texas Roadhouse spinoff with scratch-made food and 33 beers on tap, is proposed for the former TGI Fridays site in Beavercreek, which would be its first location in the Dayton area.
The Tracker: Honest Status on Every Project
Every project I have been following since the summer is still moving, with no confirmed dates yet. Scramblers keeps building out at The Greene for its first Dayton-area location, Kawa Revolving Sushi has its Austin Landing space confirmed, Black Rock Bar and Grill is still on the way to the Mall at Fairfield Commons, Whoa Dogs has its Oregon District lease finalized, Hummus and Garlic is preparing the former So Pizza space near the Dayton Mall, Get the Pho Out is announced for West Stroop Road in Kettering, and the Huber Heights Dave's Hot Chicken is planned for the former Arby's site. I will share each opening date the moment it is confirmed.
What New Openings Mean for the Market
I track this closely for a simple reason: new restaurants and grand openings are leading indicators. When national chains pick Beavercreek, when a local bistro expands into Xenia and Kettering, and when a pizza brand commits to the Springboro Pike corridor, it tells me where demand is heading before the sales data catches up. For buyers, a corridor with fresh dining and retail is a safer long-term bet. For sellers, it is leverage, because buyers pay a premium for communities that feel alive.
